Karlo Borović graduated on September 4, 2024, from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at the University of Zagreb, thereby earning the title of Master of Applied Chemistry. Under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Zvjezdana Findrik-Blažević, he defended his master’s thesis entitled “Unnatural Aldol Additions of Phosphoenolpyruvate to Aliphatic and Aromatic Aldehydes Catalyzed by PEP-Dependent Synthases.”

In October of the same year, he began his professional career at the University of Zagreb by joining the Department of Reaction Engineering and Catalysis at the same faculty. At the same time, he enrolled in the doctoral study program in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry, further advancing his academic and scientific engagement in the field of chemical engineering.
